Instructions for treating flea bites
- In the first place, what we recommend is that you always keep the area clean to avoid bacteria and dirt and that you do not scratch it. We know that this is going to be difficult because what itches is unbearable and it is the worst of flea bites, but if you want the bite to disappear you have to avoid that first of all. Since what we want is for the itching to be relieved, we can give you a series of guidelines.

If we don’t clean the area and we also scratch it, we can open that wound and cause infections as a result of those flea bites that are unnecessary.
- If the itching and swelling is very evident and it is something that you are not going to be able to calm down without stopping scratching and keeping it clean, you can opt for medical treatments with hydrocortisone that you can find in any over-the-counter pharmacy and that you can use to calm and treat these bites.
- If you do not want to use a medical remedy and prefer home remedies to treat flea bites, there are several that we can also advise you on. It should be said that you can also use natural products to treat the skin and keep it clean.
- Once clean and chosen the treatment to choose, if you want them to be homemade, some that give good results are for example: bicarbonate mixed with a little water and that paste we put on the sting. It is left on the bite for 15 to 30 minutes and you will notice how that itching is relieved a lot.
- Another remedy that we can advise you is to use lemon. You can boil its shell in water, let the liquid settle and then apply it with a cotton ball or gauze on the area of flea bites.
- Apple cider vinegar is also very effective as a home remedy. It would be two tablespoons of water for one of apple cider vinegar. We keep this in a refrigerator for a few hours and apply as if it were the lemon on the flea bites.
